What is wrong with my '98 Jeep Cherokee?

I am getting a bit of unsteadiness in the front end. When I hit a bump in just the right conditions, the front end starts to bounce/shake/shimmy uncontrollably until I slow almost to a complete stop and start going again. The problem persists even after changing the front shock absorbers and wheel bearings.|||It%26#039;s called the Jeep Death Wobble. And it%26#039;s common.

Shake down the front end for worn ball joints and tie rods/ends and replace as necessary. Then install a new steering stabilizer and have an alignment done.

Best of Luck.|||Its your ball joints and tie rods!!!|||DEFIANTLY the tie rods. the exact same thing happened to me on a ford explorer. shouldn%26#039;t be too exspensive
