I have to change the shock absorbers,do I have to clamp the springs.
I do most of the maintenance ,but never a shock absorber
cheers|||The springs on the sock assembly have a huge amount of tension on them! You need to get a set of spring compressors from your local auto spares store. You can get a good set for 拢30.00 and its money well spent as the springs can very easily brake an arm.
Remember to compress the springs as much as possible before you remove the top suspension mount.
