What is done if shock absorber is leaking?

a) Remove and replace shock absorber

b) Clean and recharge shock absorber

c) Change seal packings in shock absorber

d) Replace shock absorber mounting bushings

I think its an a , but could it be d ?|||if the shock is leaking fluid its because the seals are gone inside the shock which are not fixable so your answer is a replace them|||A and only A. The mounting bushings won%26#039;t stop a shock from leaking. However a new shock will come with new mounting bushings.|||yep-A|||The answer is (a)

There are shocks such as those made by Bilstein that can be rebuilt. Most people won%26#039;t pay for expensive shocks like these.

Here%26#039;s Bilstein%26#039;s site where you can get their shocks rebuilt.|||A is the correct answer|||E ) Alignment|||A.. Remove and replace the shock absorber.|||it,s A ! you can,t recharge them. when they go bad you have to replace them.|||if youre cramming for an exam the answer is A..replace it .if youre asking because yours IS leaking it all depends on the type of shocker,as well as being gas or oil filled some motors have magnetically reactive fluid(ferrofluid). i just had mine done the other day and it cost me 拢50 quid per shock, fitted (vauxhall vectra. Please remember though, you can%26#039;t just do one, you have to do two at a time)that was done at kwik fit by the way.Greater Manchester.|||Answer a is correct because it is cheaper to buy a new one than send the old one out to be rebuilt
