How long do auto shock absorbers last?

Do we need to routinely change shock absorbers after 10 or 20 years?|||Depends greatly on the quality of the roads you use. 10 years is really treading the outer limit of shock life, assuming the car is a daily driver. The real problem is that they go bad slowly over a long period so you don%26#039;t notice how bad they are until the new ones go on and you think %26quot;I should have done this years ago.%26quot; Good Luck.|||They will last a long time. Ive had them last over 100,000 miles. Most people don%26#039;t change them unless there are having problems with them. The car bouncing excessive after a bump.
